I’ve been in this situation. I dated a girl with hepatitis B that was unfortunately passed on to her in the womb by her mother. She chose to reveal this AFTER we had slept together a few times. Upon her revelation, I ran for the hills and didn’t look back. Thankfully, we practiced safe sex and I didn’t get it, but it still scared the shit out of me. My strict “no glove, no love” policy saved me. There’s no way I could ever bring myself to knowingly sleep with someone with a STD after that experience. I have a feeling I’m in the majority on that one. My personal views aside, I don’t think the OP will be a sexual leper. There are people out there more open-minded than me on this. Also, if it’s accurate that 1 in 6 people have Herpes, it appears there should be no shortage of people already infected who take no risk in sleeping with the OP. Well-loved.
